A rare piece of Lebanese philatelie has set a new benchmark, achieving the highest price ever recorded for a Lebanese philatelic set of stamps. These are the famous five sheets of the stamps of the 1943 Medical Conference in Beirut unperforated and without arab overprint “المؤتمر الطبي العربي السادس 1944“ [Sixth Arab Medical Conference 1944] recorded by Yvert as n 187e and 188d for postage. n. 82b, 83b and 84c for Air stamps.
